This is the national safety standard and it is the correct way to approach the problem. If you do not use your chimney much animals may build nests in the flu or there may be other types of deterioration that could make the chimney unsafe to use.

Creosote deposits in the chimney is a natural by-product of wood burning which is a fire hazard. Fireplace, wood burning stoves, gas or oil heating appliances must have a proper maintenance schedule due to a heavy build up of dust and soot. We are not subcontractors, therefore, we feel responsible and obligated to you.

Chimney Cleaning Process

Licensed, bonded and insured Duct Technology chimney sweep technicians are trained regularly to understand the best way in maintaining and cleaning your chimney. Our technicians arrive at your home fully uniform and will perform an inspection before starting to do any work. A tarp is spread on the floor in front of the chimney. Plastic will be used to cover the front of the chimney.

A technician will go on the roof to scrub the flo from top to bottom. After the flo is completed cleaning, the other technician will then proceed to vacuum and sanitize the bottom of chimney with a deodorizer to prevent the smell from creosote.
